Would these shoes look okay with a nice black dress?

I bought a nice, black, belted type dress and I really need some shoes. I wear children's shoes so I can't find anything. I've found these in a size 4 but I'm not sure they would look okay. Would these be okay with something nice or only a very casual dress?

Would these shoes look okay with a nice black dress?
yeah, i guess that would be ok, but i think in my opinion it's pushing it. it's a cute shoe and cute dress don't get me wrong but i think that the shoe is a bit to casual for the dress.

here are some really cute other possibilities. they come in a size 4 too! =]

hope i helped :D
Reply:Those shoes are really cute, but i dont think they would go good with a black dress. You should get a solid color shoe maybe a bright color or something.
Reply:Depending on the color of excessories, that would defintly match!!!
Reply:black and brown??????? black and black, maybe. Not black and brown.
Reply:it would work with black but maybe not in brown you can wear those with jeans too
Reply:those are really cute i think any of those colors exept the chocolate satin ones would go with a black dress.
Reply:these are too casual for a black belted dress

these would look good with a summer dress
Reply:1st of all i hope that the dress that u got is not as expensive as your example! and no they would not. but bright yellow shoes would!

Shoes and accessories?

I just bought 4 basic tee shirts that are really cute from Forever 21 and Wet seal. There is a brown V- neck, 2 scoop necks-white and black, and a pink boy-tee. I will probably buy a few more. I really like wearing a plain tee and jeans- its so easy and cute. I need some new accessories to dress up the look though. Can anyone give me some links to accessories -necklace, earrings, bracelets, especially headbands. I am also looking for a cute, casual tote bag that is big enough for books but not too big like the big Victoria Secret pink ones. And not the AE or Hollister ones that everyone has.

Also, I like skate shoes like etnies and DC shoes. I have size 11 feet- would these wide shoes make my feet look really big or would the width even out the length and look ok. And can you find me some cute flats, sandals, or flipflops?

Shoes and accessories?
Nothing to worry about my dear. To my point of view etnies will look good on big feet. You can find the most popular and well designed flats, sandals and flip flops in http://shoecapital.com/. So hurry up and try it out. Wait wait this site gives u the perfect information on wat wil go well with big feet n wil suggest u and direct u to a good shopping store where u can get the best of the best footwear u want to have.

What should i wear to my orientation that is casual?

this is my first job... i have an orientation on tuesday... she said to dress casual... what should i wear?

black pants? and a sweater? should i wear slip on shoes? or should i get some black sneakers/shoes.

the way i will be dressed for the job is a white long sleeve button up shirt and black pants... and black skid/slip free shoes.

im not sure if i should wear that or if i should just wear something like what i wore for my interview.

thanks

What should i wear to my orientation that is casual?
I think black pants and a sweater would be good. Maybe throw those with some ballet flats. It's always better to be overdressed than under.
Reply:You should wear Black slacks because they can be fit for almost any occasion. a fairly nice shirt and nice sweatshirt, but nothing to fancy, and flat shoes would be best.
Reply:i think you're overthinking this, it does kinda depend on the type job though it is better to be overdressed than it is to be underdressed. i'd just wear something like you wore to the interview. oh yeah and congrats on the job =)
Reply:Sweatsuit and slippers... always a winner

Shoes!!! All suggestions welcome.?

Ok, well I am 15, 5'6'' and size 11 shoes.

What do you recommend for me (hard to find cute shoes in my size that don't make my feet look huge.)

Thanks!

I am especially looking for sneakers, but also flipflops, and black or silver flats.

Would skate shoes make my feet look huge, or smaller because the width evens out the length? It would definitely help if you knew from experience. What other sneakers are cute and would look good on me? I mostly wear casual clothes, lots of jeans.

And... what would you wear with http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/in...

Shoes!!! All suggestions welcome.?
I wear Skater Shoes in size 11 and they dont make my feet look bigger. You should try this site http://lovemyshoes.com/ the shoes come in all diffrent styles and sizes.

Here are some silver ballet flats:http://www.lovemyshoes.com/products2.cfm...
Reply:the classic black and white Converse All Star. low or high rise. low rise looks best with skirts and shorts. so prbly a pair of low rise. they go with almost everything and they look great with jeans. they make your feet look thinner and theyre comfortable too. for your size, if they didnt have it in the women's section, look in the guys section. theres no change in style or cut or anything, just bigger sizes.
Reply:the second pair of pants with the cutest flats.. black ballet flats or even white (whatever the top color is) u can mix and match and any show would match both pairs of pants but i prefer the second pair.. their cuter =]

What shoes to wear?

Ok for the first day of school I'm going casual with some very cute blue running pant things and a white qaurter length shirt. But which shoes should I wear? Tenni shoes, birkenstocks, or black chuck taylors, blue%26amp;black chuck taylors? I can't afford any new shoes except flip flops and my toes are way too ugly for flip flops.

What shoes to wear?
I would probably go with the tennis shoes... To keep up with the "athletic" theme.
Reply:Clown shoes will make a great and lasting first impression.
Reply:I vote for tenni's, the pants sound casual enough for them...
Reply:I would say tenni's. If you decide to go with an open toed shoe paint your toe nails.

Interview dress code- casual store uniforms..........?

I'll be 14 soon, and applying for a work permit. (14 is of CA legal age)

I've talked to the manager at the local drug store, (Longs Drugs) about applying, and they gave me the okay as long as i have a permit. Although this is for the relatively-distant future, I'm curious about the interview.

The store uniforms are pretty casual, girls in black Dickie's pants, and a green Long's polo. Black shoes, a few of them don't even wear name-tags.

Based on this, what's appropriate for the interview? 14 year old female, frequent customer, I've been accquainted with most employees and managers.

Thanks for the tips! And what can I expect from from the interview? First time 'll have applied for a job, I'm so curious!

Interview dress code- casual store uniforms..........?
I once read that you should try and dress like your interviewer. Not like twins or anything, but go to the store a couple times and check and see what the manager is wearing. If they are wearing a jacket and tie, then shoot for that, if it's a sweater and khakis, go with that.

Also, better to be slightly overdressed than under-dressed.
Reply:I applied for Longs this last fall and I got on. I'm 18 and it was my first job. My suggestion would be to wear nice slacks, black or khaki is fine, a nice shirt and a nice, but sensible pair of shoes. I went to my interview with a pair of black capri pants and a polo shirt. Admittedly, this is a small town, a bit more laid back, but just to give you the general idea.

Welcome to Longs. ^_^
Reply:Slacks and a blouse. Smart casual.
Reply:Honestly, considering the situation you've described, I would say jut wear a nice top - nothing too fancy - and a pair of pants (not jeans). It's causal, but still dressy.

The interview itself, will probably rather informal. Places like that have rather high turnover (people leaving), so they most likely hire a lot. Since you already know the manager you can probably do without the intro/hand shake deal. The manager will probably want to tell you a little about the job and the expectations and all you have to do is just smile and answer the questions. He is obviously going to know that you haven't had any experience, so what he'll be looking for is personality, competence, intelligence and your ability to work when they need you.

Wardrobe change, cant settle on shoes. Being tall, don't consider heels?

I'm trying to shift my wardrobe from all sports wear to more dress casual/work casual outfits. However when I go to buy dress tops, or formal trousers (since I don't like the feel of skirts or dresses) I find myself frustrated at the cuts and thin materials commonplace. However, where I have the most difficult/concerns are with shoes.

I'm tall (5'9") and I find of dress shoes, (or non-sneakers), I only find tall heels attractive and flats utterly unflattering. I don't like those 1-inch heels (kitten heels I believe they're called), and I've yet to find a low shoe that I'd be willing to wear. Since I'm tall, however, I'm concerned about wearing heels seeing as they will skyrocket me into the air. I don't want to draw attention to my height however, I don't know any compensation towards my height and shoes that I believe would look attractive.

Wardrobe change, cant settle on shoes. Being tall, don't consider heels?
I completely understand where you are coming from. I am 5'10 and dealt with the same issue upon graduation of highschool and moving into the "real world".

You obviously dont want to be uncomfortable, with your self or with your clothes, but to be honest... a heel is going to make you taller, but you just need to carry it well. My best advice as far as that goes is just do it. Dont get the extremely tall ones.. I normally range between 1 1/2 inches- 2 inches.Ive also found that those "ballerina flats" are extremely comfortable (believe it or not) and they come in such a range of colors you cant go wrong.

Basically it just takes time to adjust, you need to be proud of your height (I used to hate it), you just have to not worry about it, when we're this tall another inch or 2 doesnt matter much. Just go to different shoe stores, whenever you pass one if you have time just go in and look. Sometimes youll find one pair of shoes that you like, sometimes none, sometimes 5. So just use time, patience and dont be too unwilling with those heels.
Reply:Don't be afraid of being tall. I'm 5'11" and wear heels all the time. Wear what feels comfortable and looks great. Then hold your head up, throw your shoulders back (posture is sooo important!), and be yourself. You'll be envied by all.

Work Dress Code Woes: Closed Toe Shoes?

I work in an office-type environment, but because we occasionally have to push carts around, our dress code requires closed toe shoes. To add insult to injury, I live in a steamy, sub-tropical sort of climate. We are expected to dress "business casual" and because of the weather, I usually wear skirts.

So, I need some shoe solutions. Wearing shoes without socks looks okay, but is uncomfortable and is ruining my shoes, but socks with skirts looks bizarre. Stockings are unthinkable in this heat.

Any ideas? :)

Work Dress Code Woes: Closed Toe Shoes?
I have this problem too, but only in the summer; so this is what I do. I wear a pair of open toed wedge sandals as walking shoes on my way to work, then change into my dress shoes when I get to work. I usually wear them barefoot, but you can choose to get some footies (thin nylon socks that only cover your toes and a bit higher, about 1/2 your foot) so you can't see them but they help to minimize sweating.

Another option is to stay away from tight and pointy toes shoes and to get yourself a pair of round toe or square toed shoes----because the more room your feet have to breath, the less they will sweat.
Reply:hmmmmmmmmmm...maybe get skin toned really short ankle socks
Reply:hhhmmm? thats a hard one. sketchers has some really cute flats now and some of them have mesh in places so that they breathe. if you could find things like those pantie hose booties like in you use to try on soes in store those would work. hope i helped!
Reply:Just wear ballet flats they are pretty comfortable and close toe or wear mary janes.
Reply:you can get close toed...with lil kitty heels...no socks needed....and thy look cute
Reply:I agree w/ the 2nd post. Ballet flats are cute, but still comfy.
Reply:Flats look great with skirts! And no socks required :-) Also there are some super cute loafer-style dress shoes out there that, again, look great w/skirts %26amp; no socks!!

Business Casual Apparel?

I have a dinner tonight with some members of the Indianapolis colts and the attire is business casual. I bought a polo from aeropostale and have some dress khakis as well as dress shoes? is that appropriate?

Business Casual Apparel?
That's fine, as long as the polo isn't too sporty. You can also wear a button down shirt. Have fun!
Reply:Yes, you can wear that. Business casual on the west coast may be different than in the midwest, but I think that wearing a cute cotton blazer (the ones that you see that are shorter than a regular blazer) with a cute t-shirt top underneath looks casual, yet trendy. The look you've described seems very 'preppy'. If that's the look you're after, then go for it!
Reply:Dont wear Khakis. Wear a black pinstrip pant with a nice heel. Im not a huge fan of Aero polos but if it is nice (and in a good color) wear it. But no khakis!
Reply:That should be just fine. Enjoy your dinner!
Reply:I would go with a button up shirt instead. A little more business like, but still casual with the khakis.
Reply:yea it sounds appropriate well if your a guy if a girl then no way
Reply:yea that is approriate as long as u dont wear jeans or sneakers

Business casual...she's taking it to the extreme and it's not even a friday?

I recently took a new position as a supervisor in admin dept. Everything is great except for one thing. The way a girl dresses. Our office is business casual but I think she's too casual. We're the first people our clients and the public see and I'm not asking for much except a more professional image.

She's come to work in track pants type pants, zip up hoodies 3x too big for her, her hair looks like she just rolled out of bed and put on a stretchy head band, spaghetti stap tank tops with her bra straps showing, running shoes....the list is goes on. Given, I don't know her financial situation and maybe she just wears what she has but I still expect a more professional image in the office.

I was thinking about sending a memo to everyone in my dept reminding them about the dress code and if she continues, I will talk to her about it.

I want to list some examples of clothes that are appropriate. How do you suggest I go about wording the memo?

Business casual...she's taking it to the extreme and it's not even a friday?
do you have a company handbook that lists the appropriate or inappropriate dress code?

here's some of the stuff in my handbook:

Examples of acceptable casual business wear include:

• slacks

• jeans

• casual dresses and skirts

• casual shirts and blouses

• golf shirts

• turtlenecks

• sweaters

• sweatshirts

• loafers

• deck shoes

• boots

• athletic shoes

• flats

Examples of inappropriate clothing items that should not be worn on casual days include:

• jeans that are excessively worn or faded

• sweatpants

• shorts

• spandex or other form fitting pants

• miniskirts

• spaghetti-strap dresses

• tank tops

• halter tops

• tops with bare shoulders unless worn under a blouse or jacket

• visible undergarments

• slippers

• flip-flops

Good luck.
Reply:With the girl you're talking about, it seems like "no sleeveless shirts" or "shoulders covered" would be a good start. Other than that, just reiterate the dress code in your memo, and add a line saying that if anyone has any questions they're welcome to come and ask you. That gives the sloppy-dresser girl a chance to come to you and explain things without your having to get in her face right away.
Reply:Are you her supervisor? Or is there another boss that she answers to? She dresses that way because she has been allowed to. If you don't like it and you have the authority, by all means talk to her about it. She probably has more professional clothes but just has gotten away with wearing what she does for so long that she thinks its now acceptable. If she's the only one doing it I don't really see a reason to send a memo to everyone.

Question about shoes?

i have this pair of mizunos that i use for casual wearing, like when im going to the movies or just out in general. They arent my running shoes as i have another pair that are a bigger size for them. My question is whether or not i can even wear them. See i know with running shoes you want them bigger so your foot can expand but these are a size smaller. My toes dont feel cramped andhave room to wiggle, just there isnt a huge amount of space there. I'd say about 2 cms. Also when i stand the sides kinda overlap the sole, not by much, just a little. They dont hurt when i have them on, just i am aware of it. Should i just scrap the casual ones i use and just wear the bigger size all the time? Just seems kinda big i guess. Also i havent even really broken the smaller pair in at all yet, if that matters.

Question about shoes?
find a hobby.
Reply:Running shoes should be about thumb size bigger from your bigger feet. As our feet lenght is not always the same size. Buying a running shoe, you should look at your foot structured to check what is the best shoe suitable for your needs. For best shoe advise, call Saucony Shoe technical consultants at 67488890.
Reply:Shoes all come down to your personal preference. Running is also very mental. if the shoe is bothering you when you run then switch or get a new pair. i would not however wear a shoe all day and run in it, as this will ware the tread on the bottom quickly, and make the shoe less supportive quickly.

As for the smaller shoes if their tight but new they will become less tight. Lets say their a month old keep them as the padding on the walls of the shoe will loosen.

Business casual?

Tomorrow i'll be going to a Hiring Fair for employment in an amusment park (somewhat like Six Flags). It says to wear business casual.

So far..as it will be REALLY HOT tomorrow, I'm thinking:

-a pink striped dress shirt (with the sleeves rolled up)

-navy dress pants (or should I go with black?)

-flat black shoes (i HATE heels...any other suggestions?)

and i'm contemplating on the bag of choice. As i am a student, i think it would look more appropriate to blend in with the other mass of students to wear a backpack. but i dunno.

Therefore the question is:

please critique this choice of wardrobe and if it is suitable for "business casual" and please help me find some alternatives that will work better etc etc.

Thanks! :)

Business casual?
I think what you've got sounds good, although if you're going to wear black shoes, I would definitely wear black pants, as well. I think the flats sound like a really good choice, because it sounds like you might be walking a lot, and you want to make sure to be comfortable! The only other suggestion I would have is to maybe put a cute matching undershirt under the pink dress shirt -- that way, if you get too hot, you could unbutton the dress shirt a little and get some air, lol.

As for the bag, it really depends on how much you're going to need to carry. If it's going to be a lot, go for the backpack. But if you're just going to need to lug around a few items, go with just a cute purse.
Reply:Well, I would go with a nice bermuda short to go with your pink dress top considering it's gonna be hot out. I agree that you should put a pink tank under your dress top to unbutton. And I think flats are perfect! Just make sure they're comfy.

Good luck with the job hiring!

What shoes are good for for a trip to asia?

So i'm going to Taiwan, Hong Kong and China for 4 weeks, and i'm wondering what shoes would be best to wear.

I could buy a new pair but I'd rather not. I need a pair i can walk in all day.

Should i bring my Adidas Sambas(w/ dr schols), brown leather Vans lace up skate shoes, or my ecco black dress shoes(probably not, but they are comfortable) .

I need something that can pass as business casual as well as walking around all day seeing sights. I will probably get inserts for my vans if i bring them. I would like to pack in a carry on and a backpack if i can help it, with no checked baggage

Which would you bring.

What shoes are good for for a trip to asia?
I don't know how formal of a setting that you will be in, but in most Asian countries it is customary to take your shoes off in a lot of places. You might also want to consider a shoe that will be easy to put on and take off.
Reply:The Adidas w/ the inserts sound the most comfortable.

Shoes online?

What is a great website to find shoes online? I'm looking for the brand Sugar, Keds, or BC Footwear. I love their casual flats! Thanks! Or what is a good store to shop at to find Casual flats, maybe canvas flats? Thanks!

Shoes online?
I cant give you specific shoes but i can help you find what's best for you..

What kind of shoes are better for training? And for racing? For everyone at our clinics we recommend light weight shoes with thin soles. There is a certain philosophy behind this recommendation, which consists of several concepts:

1. The shoes should be light, so that their weight didn't deteriorate the feeling of the foot as a part of the leg. It means that the feeling of the foot wouldn't differ from the feeling of the whole leg, psychologically. Biomechanically it may affect the foot transfer in space and time: its speed, acceleration, and trajectory, which could all be deteriorated by heavy shoes. We can deliberately use heavy shoes for some special occasions of strength development, but not for a long time, and surely not permanently.

2. The shoes should have thin soles, with no cushioning at all. It reduces the weight, but this is not the main reason. First of all, it allows you to develop a very precise, refined feeling of interaction between the foot and the ground, while landing. Obviously, it is impossible to do this through a thick shoe sole. In a movement, when every hundredth of a second counts (the time of support in best runners is 0.15-0.20 sec.), the support time is a crucial thing for neuro-muscular coordination. When the signal for the foot to touch the ground reaches the muscles and makes them prepare for landing, it's already too late. And cushioning here is the factor which deteriorates timing and as a consequence, running technique, by increasing the time of support and due to this, loading of joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.

Second, a thick sole and cushioning increase the possibility of pronation or supination, if the runner has a tendency to it. Hence, it leads to injuries, and we'll talk about this separately.

Third, in Pose Method landing occurs on the ball of the foot, not on the heel, so the thick shoe heel structure doesn't make any sense. Even more, it reduces the freedom of the heel, and ankle movement and decreases the calf muscle stretching elasticity effect.
Reply:Yup... Tnx for the best answer... anyways, gud luck to your shoes!! hope you find what yo want!!!

peace!

Ehh, they kind of match. I dont really have any suggestions though.

Very cute though.

I also think the skirt would look good with some tan rainbow flip flops.
Reply:i think the eyeylet of teh shoes clashes with the chunky tweed of the skirt and adds too much texture. You should try a shoe that has a solid texture like a patent sandal or canvas.
Reply:You can also wear espadrilles with this skirt.

Those flats would look nice as well too.
Reply:deffinetly they match.

you could even do a metallic gold closed ballet slipper, or cute white flip flops with a really thin bottom, or some white closed sneaker/shoes (kinda like keds...?)

Slippers for casual summer wear...?

Several years ago, in 2005, several brands such as splash, classified, bamboo, soda had these summer casual slippers and one could buy them practically at all the stores such as mandee's. Now I look all over the place and cannot not find any, even on-line, the closest I got was on ebay, but they are not in my size. Does anyone know how I can get a hold of some? I plan to go abroad and volunteer in a warm country and believe these shoes will be better than sneakers with socks...any suggestions on how to find these shoes?

Slippers for casual summer wear...?
Go try Havaianas. They're great! I'm sure you'll love it. They're flip flops, actually. And it varies in so many different styles and designs. They don't just appear cute, you can be using this slippers for ages. It's high in quality.

Sounds perfect for a casual setting. If the ballet flats don't work with the outfit, a cute pair of sandals would work too! Hope you have a great time! Good luck!

Jeans, shoes, etc...Fashion help please?

I am a 15 year old girl with blue eyes and long dirty blonde hair that I straighten, no makeup really. I am more laid-back and like cute, comfortable clothes. I am very casual, but still like looking good. I love jeans, especially gray jeans. I don't like skinny jeans and leggings.

Can you find me some nice jeans, preferably under $50? Or you can just tell me your favorite brands. I am 5'6'' , pretty skinny, and have really long legs.

I want to buy skate shoes, but I have size 11 feet. Are skate shoes going to make my feet look huge because they are so wide? I want to buy shoes from www.zappos.com. What are some cute skate shoes under $80 that will look good with jeans? I am also looking for any other kind of sneaker in that price range, not just skate shoes.

Not necessary, but I would be eternally grateful if you want to make me and outfit or two, or provide links to cute clothes for me. I love charlotte russe, forever 21, pacsun, vanity, wet seal, macy's, department stores, etc

Jeans, shoes, etc...Fashion help please?

What shoes are good for rock climbing?

Rock climbing is just a casual hobby, so I don't want to fork out the money on professional climbing shoes. Can I use sneakers or some other kind of shoe? What actually makes a good climbing shoe? I will be using mostly indoor walls.

What shoes are good for rock climbing?
ive been an avid rock climber for almost ten years...get rock climbing shoes if you intend to climb regularly. there is nothing more scary than placing your foot on a ledge no wider than a centimeter and feeling your feet slipping around inside your shoe. talk about a major sphincter check. plus climbing shoes are designed to place the toes in the most powerful position to allow for adequate stepping and their soles are made of sticky soft rubber so slippage is minimized. going barefooted may seem logical, but stepping on sharp points of rock and placing all your weight on it can be excuriatingly painful. plus, sweaty feet equals slippery feet. there are large numbers of climbing shoes that are quite affordable as well. look at brands like mad rock, evolv, mammut, or search websites like REI.com. ive seen shoes as cheap as 50 to 60 dollars.....about the same cost as running shoes.....if youre going to climb regularly, this is the best advice i can give you, from one climber to another...good luck and aloha

Casual Office Clothes?

Well, I just started working at a small office and I need to dress appropriately, but casual at the same time. Such as black dress pants with a polo shirt and some shoes that won't be to dressy but nothing that looks like I just finished running a marathon. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thank you.

Casual Office Clothes?
Business casual is basically slacks and a collared shirt but no tie required. usually your shirt does still have to be tucked in and you do still have to have a belt. As for the shoes just get some solid black like leather shoes n you'll be good (black goes with everything)
Reply:Most businesses are allowing jeans with a decent shirt, not a tshirt. Sketcher type shoes but not sneakers.
Reply:Casual pants have no cargo pockets, and should be wrinkle free cotton, cotton polyester blend, or all polyester. Dockers and Haggar are some good brands, however most major retailers have a store brand, just make sure they are wrinkle free on the label. Pants should not be shredded anywhere and certainly not at the cuff. Sock color should match pant color. A polo shirt or casual button down the front shirt in a solid or pattern, again wrinkle free. Belt and shoes should match. Make sure the pants are closer to the waist, about 1-2" below your belly button. Otherwise you are too casual for the office, but ok for a date. Employers do notice these things.

What can i wear with those shoes?

i bought a pair of black %26amp; white plaid shoes, open toed with a silver "belt" above the toes opening. i always see women wearing those kinds of bold shoes %26amp; i never dared to buy them, cause my style was so casual.

i've recently been changing the way i dress so i bought them, i didn't take a picture of them, but this is very close to it:

http://www.shoes.com/product.asp?catalog...

only difference is that mine have a silver strap right over the toes opening from the front.

i know i'm supposed 2 wear black pants or skirt with it, but does everything i wear with it have to be plain black? or can i add white to it? patterns are a no-no, right?

What can i wear with those shoes?
wear blakc skinny jeans with a bright colored spagetti strap top...and if its too cold or it looks kinda slutty...then wear a tight three quarter sleeve blazer! the blazer should look like this..http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=ht... over a bright ccolored top thats so cute!
Reply:if i am in ur situation, i'll wear a maong skinny jeans and spagetti straps,. it'll look casual and at the same time,, a decent one.. hehe!! hope it was a big help..
Reply:o o o they are tooo cute i want a pair you can wear a cute sort flowly dress is even cute dressy black shorts or pants also dark jean would be nice or a red dress (plain red) and black purse and accsesories
Reply:oops...
Reply:wear what ever you want.
Reply:Of course you don't have to wear all black with those. You can wear any color as long as it's solid. I'd wear them with a yellow or red skirt and a white top, but you can do whatever. No patterns though, the patterned shoe should be a nice surprise that stands out from the rest of the outfit, so other patterns would overwhelm the whole outfit. Hope this helps.
Reply:right, patterns are a bad idea i think that you should probably wear a pair of black skinny jeans and get a shirt that's kinda mettalic-y to match the belt. make sure the shirt isn't too overwhelmingly shiny though, because shirts like that get really annoying!

hope i helped!
Reply:I think if you want to wear something bold with them the best thing to do is wear red. I love the combonation of black and red!!! Also you could play them down with a nice fitted pair of dark wash jeans. Metallics are very in style right now, but even that might be a little bit much with those shoes, but you could experiment. Good Luck!!
Reply:no , yo dont have to wear black with those shoes , but it would look cut with it !

red , grey , and white are just a couple of giid colors that will look fabulous with it !

jeans would also look good too!

hope i helepd :)
Reply:Even though black looks best with these shoes, it isn't your only option. A nice pair of solid color jeans, w/o the "wash-ed out" or holely look would look nice, espicially darker or grey jeans. You can also use some corderoy with them, brown, or even white (After all, the shoes have white in them)

(If you don't trust my links, then go to forever21.com, and it's the Round Neck Jersey Dress; I tried to link from there site but it wouldn't)

That's the dress, any shoes that would go with it. I just can't picture anything because it doesn't look dressy and it doesn't look like it would go with flats unless I just haven't see the right ones plus i'm 5'1" and I don't have the skinniest looking legs. I also haven't bought this dress yet but I don't like buying things when I don't have shoes that will go, or don't even have an idea of what shoes to get for the outfit.

Some help? :) Oh and if you might have any links of what you suggest because i'm shoe-retarded. Just give me a little push, I've never really had a dress that's casual-ish.

Shoes that would go with this dress?
dressy but not formal, heel to elongate your legs, dark to make your legs look thinner, the style of the dress would be complimented with wingtip styling, wear coffee or taupe color hose

here got a link to the perfect shoes for that dress
Reply:I think the dress would look great with round-toe shoes. I think it would be cute with either round-toe pumps or a great pair of ballet flats.
Reply:ballet flats for a casual look.

for a fun sporty look some colorful canvas tennis shoe.

with a pair of leggings some high heeled pumps.

for a dressy look a nice strappy heel.

by the way i think the dress is really cute (young %26amp; fresh) and i think you could pull off any of the above looks.
Reply:I would go with simple black pumps..not a real high heels

Comfortable Shoes?

At work I am on my feet pretty much all day. I have some cute shoes...but they hurt SO badly. I have very wide feet and it's nearly impossible to find comfortable shoes - even ballet flats are too painful. The place I work is considered business casual (people get away with wearing birkenstocks). I usually wear khakis, sweaters, stuff like that...anyone have any ideas for nice shoes that won't hurt my feet?

Comfortable Shoes?
Your feet hurt because you are in the wrong size. You can't buy the cutest shoes on the shelf, and expect them to feel good when your feet aren't standard sizes. You have to buy wide width shoes. As for a style suggestion, no matter how comfortable the style is in general, it won't feel that way when it's too tight on your feet. Get yourself measured at any shoe store to see exactly what width you need. Most women's sizes are a C-D width. If you need wider, then you'll need to find them at a speciality store.

If you can wear a regular wide width, then you can find them at any decent shoe store. Just ask to see "casual shoes" in your size that they have in stock. Casual shoes can be many styles, but it rules out the sneakers, pumps, and high heels. If you're on a tight budget, try Payless. They usually have a decent selection of wide width shoes. Skip any other discount stores- they don't carry wide widths, or if they do, the selection is poor.

http://www.payless.com/Catalog/SLCategor...

If you need the wider sizes, E or wider, then you're going to have to spend the money for them. But it will be well worth every penny when your feet stop hurting.

http://www.shoes.com/shop.asp?shopId=WID...

Once you've gotten the right width, any style, even high heels, you try on will feel 100% better than what you were wearing before.
Reply:torrid (torrid.com) has really comfy shoes %26amp; they are made for plus-sized women so they are kind of wide.
Reply:Try the brand BORN or DANSKO.
Reply:I saw this brand in oprah they are mmade by the nike brand but for women..

http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/home.js...
Reply:I would definately try some Dansko shoes. They run a little wide to begin with and Im sure if you got them in a wide size they would be great, the insoles are so comfortable and the shoe ends up molding with your foot once it gets broken in. They are a little expensive, but comfort sometimes is just soooo worth it!!

Good Luck!
Reply:I have got to be the pickiest person when it comes to shoe shopping and for that fact I can never find anybody to go with me. Here are some of my tips that I have found helpful. First off, don't go shoe shopping in the morning. Go in the evening after being on your feet at work all day. That way your feet will be at the state they are in when you really need your shoes to work for you. Your body has like a sensory adjustment system in it like when you put on a tight pair of jeans in the morning and by lunch you feel like you have lost weight because they aren't as tight. It kind of works in that same way. Second, shoes should not have to be broke in. If they feel uncomfortable when you try them on it isn't going to get any better and you aren't doing your feet any good either. Not to mention your back as well. Even if they are the cutest shoes ever. Pass on the purchase. I always pick a shoe that catches my eye first, then when I try it on it has to feel as good as it looks. I have big feet to begin with and I don't want any more attention being drawn to my feet then I have to. (especially since it seems like all the cute shoes are always in more petite sizes) But if the shoe doesn't fill like a thousand pillows around my foot the second I slip it on, then I say NEXT! The last thing I think about is how versatile the shoe is. Can I wear it with a dress or skirt as well as jeans? How about a business suit? Could I run in them if I had to? Well hope this is helpful. Sorry I couldn't suggest a certain type of shoe but if need be I'd try Dr. Schol's. ~Eulalia
Reply:Keds, rocket dog, and vans. They have a wide variety and can range from very casual to very dressy. Check out there site. Good Luck!!!
Reply:Easy Spirit and Naturalizer make comfortable shoes for wide feet.
Reply:Get some black Diesel, they are so comfortable and fashionable too!
Reply:i find vans flats to be of comfort
Reply:i like AE clogs but idk if you could get away with that.
Reply:Ebay has a special section for really comfortable shoes. here's the direct link
Reply:Diesel footware is awesome..I have a pair of brown ones that I totally love...I can wear them with several different outfits and if ppl get away with wearing Birks they would def be work appropriate.
Reply:My older sister has very wide feet as well, and she has found that Payless has a lot of really comfortable shoes. If you find a pair you really like, you can always add insoles to them as well to make them easier to stand on all day.

Business casual? Appropriate for tomorrow?

Appropriate for tomorrow?
Your outfit sounds good, and take a small purse rather than a backpack. Flat shoes are fine as long as they are not run down. An alternative would be a wedge heel, they are fairly comfortable. Also make sure your hair, nails, and makeup are neat and well-groomed. Good luck!
Reply:sounds good and i think you should go with black pants, bring a bag-not a backpack
Reply:sounds good. If you are going with the black flats, black pants would be better, unless you have blue or maybe even brown shoes instead. Also, do not use backpack. that just screams student and not future employee. If you have some sort of shoulder bag it may look more professional.

What shoes, etc would look good with this sundress?

http://www5.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?Dep...

I am getting remarried and got this white sundress. I am having trouble trying to figure out what kind of shoes, jewelry may go well with it, or what to do with my hair. This wedding will be in a small church in a nice place but will only be my fiance and I , so I want to look nice but casual. Im tall and average size and I have long blonde hair. What shoes, etc do you think would look good.

What shoes, etc would look good with this sundress?
Some medium-height white or cork/brown heels! I think the cork would look nice but still casual.

Silver jewelry.

Unless you want color. Then I'd go for some deep green.
Reply:I think some strappy sandals would be perfect with it. Because the dress is all white, you can do any color you want. Just do a nice springy color like rose or seafoam green, nothing too dark. Also, I think open-toe is the way to go. Its perfect for the weather and adds such a girly touch to the already beautiful dress. Maybe those cute flat sandals that strap up the leg would work.

As for jewelry, I think a great seashell necklace or something natural would be amazing. Like, the kind you find at vintage stores. And maybe some white post earrings .It might sound a little funny, all this stuff, but I can imagine it and it will look amazing.

Your hair would look great maybe in a cute and naturally messy bun. Not too tightly wound, but the ones that look effortlessly beautiful. Or some light curls, maybe even pinned on the sides.
Reply:it really depends what kind you want to wear..

and what color...

you can wear flats...those are always cute and comfy..

or a pair of espadrilles..if you want a heel.

...umm..you have long blonde hair..i would say either leave it down wavy.

and once you decide on shoes..jewlery will be easy..it just depends what color you want.

well good luck.

:]
Reply:get some cute white heels and maybe a cute red braclet and necklace to add some color but not too much and a cute little clutch that matches and for the hair i would do it yourself because then chances are it will look more casual and not overdone like some salons can make it look sometimes.

How Should I Wear These Shoes?

I just got these gorgeous shoes and i was wondering how should I wear them. I know they're ideal for many outfits but I want know what you would wear with them [[pict plz]] ? I want to wear the for 3 different styles: Casual [[movie]], Glam [[party]], and Funky [[girls night out]].

HERE IS THE SHOE:

Your Opinion Really Helps Me Out A Lot Thx =]

How Should I Wear These Shoes?
I have those same shoes and wear them all the time. Sorry I don't have any pictures but I will give you ideas!

Movie- Wear a dark pair of jeans with a cute top. You will still see the bottom of the shoe and I have done it, it looks cute!

Party- Since you have to dress nicer for a party, wear a skirt maybe knee high and a NICE top. You can wear panty- hose with this outfit because it may be cold.

Funky- Luckily, these shoes are comfortable enough to wear on a girls night out! Again, I wear a little more funky skirt with a casual top. The skirt does not have to have the color of the shoe in it. That is what makes the shoe look good!
Reply:it's a very classic shoe. You can wear it with jeans - a black dress (short or long), or a funky outfit. It' pretty versatile.

Don't wear them with white.

Wear them on your feet.
Reply:Casual -- ummmm...scrunch some bright-colored leg warmers down over them

Glam -- haunt the antique and junk stores looking for interesting old clip on earrings. Clip them to the vamp.

Funky -- wear 'em with footless tights and a short jeanskirt

Kiss your fee goodbye. High heels damage your feet and your Achilles tendons, promote the development of bunions and throw off the proper alignment of your back. Buy some ballerina flats!
Reply:the way you should wear them is on your feet.

Reply:well this shoe you can ware with anything! best would be a cute top and skinny jeans..try not to ware flared jeans..bc it hides the shoe, and then it will look like you don't have feet! (lol) if you are a dress or skirt type of person the best thing to ware would be something that has patterns bc the show is a solid, and it will not take away from the dress or skirt you're waring...you should look fabulous, cute shoes btw! :)
Reply:I'm not a fasion person but.........a long black dress with a low cut back works for me.
Reply:For casual you could pair them with skinny jeans. For glam you could have a flowy shorter skirt, and for funky you could have jeans with a wide leg.

Why do vegetarians wear leather shoes?

this is getting frustrating. leather shoes play such a big role in "dressing nice" these days. I try and find hemp alternatives but they just dont look like you could wear a suit with them. And now they are even making hemp shoes with leather mixed in. What do you guys think, is it possible to justify wearing leather shoes but not eating meat? I'm trying to find %100 hemp shoes that look like this: http://www.merrell.com/Product/NZGP/Mens...

Why do vegetarians wear leather shoes?
Not everyone who is a vegetarian does it out of concern for animal welfare. However, if that is your motivation, then I agree wearing leather shoes seems inconsistent. I'm not sure where you draw the line however because so many products and drugs are the end result of actual animal substances or involve(d) animal testing. I suppose a common justification for this halfheartedness would be "doing something" as opposed to "doing nothing".
Reply:it depends, i am a vegetarian, and I wear some leather shoes, but before I buy them, I have to check that the company that makes them treated the animals humanely. i do not support companies like ugg who torture there animals, also, there are lots of vegitarians who are not vegetarians for the animals, but because they don't like the taste, or because they cant eat it because of health reasons. I personally cannot eat meat just because the idea of having an animal inside me grosses me out, but i do not have any problems if the animals are raised in farms instead of factories, not given hormones or chemicals, and either killed humainly, or used after they die naturaly.
Reply:hemp????

umm well i think you should look for shoes that are made out of leather that has been used from already dead animals??

maybe that would make you feel better

and leather is the only animal product i wear so maybe you should just exclude other animal products but wear leather like one thing of leather
Reply:I am veggie and I avoid leather as much as possible, but I ride horses so if the saddles are leather then there isnt much i can do about it.
Reply:hemp?? like MARIJUANA. haha.
Reply:wow, I've never thought of that before, it really opened my eyes

Good lightweight shoes?

I'd like to buy a cheap, good lightweight shoe for my ITG (In The Groove, like DDR) play, and some casual running. In ITG, you mainly stomp/move your feet around fast, so i need a lightweight shoe. I was looking at some puma's, running puma's, and they are all cheap. It won't give me the weight of them, but im sure there lightweight. Any other shoes tips appreciated.

Good lightweight shoes?
Any racing shoes will be feather light, but will not help your poor feet much if you're 'stomping'. Cross trainers are a little heavy, so I would think any $60 running shoe that fits well should do. Most big box sports stores sell such shoes.

Maybe you could get a Gel heal pad to absorb some of the shock.
Reply:r u saying that u r going to use the same shoe to play a dancing game and running??????????? r u crazy...1st of all.... never ever run with a light weight shoe!!!!!!!!!!!

With some flats http://blog.stylehive.com/images/uploads...

And a nice shirt.

The flats dont necessarily have to be that color you can get them in different colors to match your shirt.
Reply:You are very welcome and it was my pleasure Report It

Reply:flats are hot now and they are comfy and easy to slip on and off.
Reply:Ballet flats are always a good choice. Or some type of loafers.
Reply:Whenever I wear jeans to work on those "casual" days, I prefer to take it up a notch and wear a professional looking top with closed toed pumps-----not only does it look clean and put-together, but I also get a lot of great compliments on my choice of ensemble. I like to pair jeans that are a darker wash, fitted (skinny, bootcut, or wide-leg---no holes or fraying) with a button-down collared shirt or a knit sweater with black or bright colored leather pumps.

On the MoveMasai Barefoot Technology - Information

MBT shoes are justifiably loved by users. Chances are you are here after hearing a glowing report. MBT

Gentle Reminder: If you didn't read why we sell MBT's on the intro page please read it here (click here for more) or:

Our staff discovered MBT for themselves, loved the increase in their walking posture and fluidity, and ran a campaign to get Back in Action to sell them.

Why did they insist so strongly? ....... Because almost all Back in Action's products are about creating balanced movement and muscular health. For seventeen years we have focused on the area of sitting and sleeping, providing chairs that induce balance and burn extra calories, beds that induce deep relaxation.

More recently we have added the Mobiliser which restores movement to inhibited vertebral joints. It has been proven to dramatically restore lost flexibility and to beat back pain.

But... we have always been unable to help with postural improvements while walking, (except via our Alexander Teacher...very effective but expensive too)

Our staff recognised that the balance induced by MBT's while walking was completely compatible with the advice and training Back in Action offers to our clients throughout this site and in our stores.

We now sell a lot of MBT's, our staff are the most skilled we know of and we would love to explain the benefits. Click here to book a fitting and see the range of styles.

MBT shoes can change the way most of us use our muscles as well as reduce shock forces to the entire skeletal system. Masai Barefoot Technology makes all surfaces like walking in sand. Unlike most conventional training shoes that only support and cushion your feet, the unique lever spring action of MBT's challenge the core strengthening muscles to be more active. This creates good posture and increases shock absorption for all the joints.

What is a Masai Barefoot Technology?

MBT In essence MBT is a redesign of shoes to cause the user to have to balance while they walk.

Like almost all backinaction products the intention is to create a life style more compatible with the way our bodies evolved. MBT shoes create natural balanced walking posture and once acclimatised users report exceptional increases in vitality and well being.

At Backinaction we like to see MBT's used as part of a comprehensive approach to body health.

For example:

1. The Mobiliser can restore lost movement in spinal joints and MBT's can develop the core muscles to take full advantage of the new easy spinal movement.

2. The Actulum chair creates balance and vitality while sitting, but most of our clients are still too inactive in their daily life. MBTs increase the energy used in walking and particularly develop the core muscles, thus restoring a more nomadic lifestyle without giving up the day job!

3. A Tempur mattress may allow greater rest and repair at night, but MBT shoes can then build on the better start to each day by using the deeper muscles and driving increased general fitness.

More about MBT and the reasons people sing their praises:

Most of us are too rushed in life. We are often pressurized into a forward stance or worse our posture gets forgotten completely. Everything is ‘on the go' in forwards motion, as illustrated in the pictures.

As we walk about the hard surfaces we walk on are putting our body through extremes of unnatural pressure; overloading the joints from the ankles, knees, hips to lower back and upwards through the spine. We evolved walking on surfaces with "give".

If you stop for a moment and think about your posture, check out your spine shape. What is your postural alignment like? Do you feel pressure through your body? Perhaps its time for a change.

The MBT range of footwear is designed to allow you to walk on a soft, uneven surface in order to stimulate exceptional muscle use; so increasing tone, alignment throughout the body, benefiting circulation and giving you a feeling of overall good health and well being. Reveal ends

Below we describe the benefits in more detail, related to the reasons you might use MBT. Click here to book a fitting and see the range of styles.

Due to MBT's unique patented curved layered sole, it lengthens the body into a tall, upright posture and encourages use of neglected muscle groups. When walking or jogging users engage untrained muscles and burn more calories, helping people to tone and to lose weight efficiently. Even while standing the muscles continue working to maintain a centre of balance. Click here to book a fitting and see the range of styles.

Before and After...

Most muscular and skeletal problems originate from poor posture and faulty gait patterns.

Does casual dress at a shooting lodge in a country club mean jeans are allowed?

My boyfriend and I are going to a Christmas party at a local country club's shooting lodge (log cabin away from the main clubhouse). He either dresses FORMAL or CASUAL. He'd like to wear nice jeans and a nice shirt (no t shirt), with nice shoes. I don't see a problem since this is a private party with a dress code listed as CASUAL. (Not smart casual or CC Casual). I'd like to hear that Dressy jeans are fine (I'm wearing nice jeans that are creased). Thanks!

Does casual dress at a shooting lodge in a country club mean jeans are allowed?
No jeans even if they are creased.
Reply:I'd say it would be ok, but maybe call the place and see if there is a stricter dress code, ask if many people wear jeans if this is a yearly event.

Quick question, why do people feel the need to put a crease in jeans?
Reply:I work at a Country Club and the dress code is no jeans, however, what you're going to is totally different. Call ahead and ask just to be sure. Have fun! : )

Most high-street chains sell ballet pumps and they now come in all kinds of colours, patterns and stlyes. I'd recommend New Look - they have tons of styles and they're quite cheap. Another good one in Monsoon/Accessorize.

What is Smart Casual? Is it like Business Casual or are jeans acceptable?

I am going to a happy hour at a local restaurant (www.thedraelion.com), and they describe their attire as SMART CASUAL.

What does that mean? Are jeans with a dress shirt and nice shoes acceptable?

What is Smart Casual? Is it like Business Casual or are jeans acceptable?
neat jeans (no holes/patch) is ok. no tshirt. polo shirt is ok, or short sleve shirt/casual is good. clean sport shoes, still look new is ok. boots also ok. smart casual = make you look like a smart person, really. that might originate from the stereotype of smart person in the ice age, i guess lol.
Reply:Yes, especially if you wear a smart casual sport coat.
Reply:I think it means dressy slacks and maybe a sweater set or blazer but not a full suit. I wouldn't wear jeans.
Reply:I'd stick with business casual. I think it means no jeans.
Reply:NO you dont wear jeans to smart casual! You need like navy blue or dark pants with a polo shirt and jacket, very sexy

What are the best shoes to wear walking around London?

should I buy sneakers or loafers? I figure I will need something with good support and cushion, nothing too flat. although I would like to still look at least a bit fashionable even if I am being pretty casual. I have the night to wear my strappies... :) So what shoes do you suggest or type of shoe? (Mind you-I am super tight on the budget!)

What are the best shoes to wear walking around London?
Just wear whatever shoes are the most comfortable. If you're walking round a city for a long time, the only real factor to consider is whether they'll rub or give you blisters or support your feet or whatever. Fashion really doesn't need to be a consideration - there are so many people in London that no-one will bat an eyelid. And if they do, they'll be gone in a second and you'll never see them again!
Reply:No one really wears sneakers in London except teenage boys and tourists (a slight exaggeration :-)), so I would say find something somewhat fashionable but comfortable. I love Rocketdog shoes, but they can be a bit expensive. A simple black or brown loafer would be good and you wouldn't stand out too much.
Reply:London is a city of almost 10 million people and all of them wear different shoes. Wear whatever suits you best, fashion and pocket-wise - nobody will notice and nobody will care if they do.
