What can i wear with those shoes?

i bought a pair of black %26amp; white plaid shoes, open toed with a silver "belt" above the toes opening. i always see women wearing those kinds of bold shoes %26amp; i never dared to buy them, cause my style was so casual.





i've recently been changing the way i dress so i bought them, i didn't take a picture of them, but this is very close to it:

only difference is that mine have a silver strap right over the toes opening from the front.





i know i'm supposed 2 wear black pants or skirt with it, but does everything i wear with it have to be plain black? or can i add white to it? patterns are a no-no, right?

What can i wear with those shoes?
wear blakc skinny jeans with a bright colored spagetti strap top...and if its too cold or it looks kinda slutty...then wear a tight three quarter sleeve blazer! the blazer should look like this..http://images.google.ca/imgres?imgurl=ht... over a bright ccolored top thats so cute!

Reply:Of course you don't have to wear all black with those. You can wear any color as long as it's solid. I'd wear them with a yellow or red skirt and a white top, but you can do whatever. No patterns though, the patterned shoe should be a nice surprise that stands out from the rest of the outfit, so other patterns would overwhelm the whole outfit. Hope this helps.
Reply:right, patterns are a bad idea i think that you should probably wear a pair of black skinny jeans and get a shirt that's kinda mettalic-y to match the belt. make sure the shirt isn't too overwhelmingly shiny though, because shirts like that get really annoying!

Reply:I think if you want to wear something bold with them the best thing to do is wear red. I love the combonation of black and red!!! Also you could play them down with a nice fitted pair of dark wash jeans. Metallics are very in style right now, but even that might be a little bit much with those shoes, but you could experiment. red , grey , and white are just a couple of giid colors that will look fabulous with it !

Reply:Even though black looks best with these shoes, it isn't your only option. A nice pair of solid color jeans, w/o the "wash-ed out" or holely look would look nice, espicially darker or grey jeans. You can also use some corderoy with them, brown, or even white (After all, the shoes have white in them)
