I am going to a happy hour at a local restaurant (www.thedraelion.com), and they describe their attire as SMART CASUAL.
What does that mean? Are jeans with a dress shirt and nice shoes acceptable?
What is Smart Casual? Is it like Business Casual or are jeans acceptable?
neat jeans (no holes/patch) is ok. no tshirt. polo shirt is ok, or short sleve shirt/casual is good. clean sport shoes, still look new is ok. boots also ok. smart casual = make you look like a smart person, really. that might originate from the stereotype of smart person in the ice age, i guess lol.
