What kind of shoes should a guy buy?

I've always worn dress shoes to work and tennis shoes everywhere else. I'm tired of wearing tennis shoes with jeans and shorts and want something a bit more "in".





What should a guy wear with dockers, jeans, or shorts? When in a casual setting? I don't want to spend over $100 a pair and would prefer to stay under $50. Anyone have any advise? Can you point me to some pictures on the 'net?





When CAN I wear tennis shoes and what's in there? Are the typical white reeboks still okay?

Reply:I bought a decent pair of Dr. Scholls black leathers from Walmart for like $20. I polish them and they are approiate for any casual situation. Sneekers are ok, but tend to have outlandish color designs and white sneekers will become dirty and tarnished pretty quickly. Then they don't look good with anything you wear. I typically only wear sneekers if I'm going to be doing physically demanding activities.

Reply:I think everyone should have a good pair of tennis shoes, brown shoes whether they are dress or not, black shoes whether they are dress or not.... i think those are the three necesitites that are needed in everyone's wardrobe..... i think tennis shoes and dress shoes work fine with anything..... you can wear a pair of tennis shoes with khakis or with jeans.... same goes with dress shoes.... dont worry anything really works
Reply:Rainbow sandals are always great and they are very comfortable. They look great with anything.





For a more casual look try slip ons. these also look great with anything.
Reply:try something by "keen" or "teva" . they have casual cool walking shoes. or, try developing a relationship with a shoe salesperson at nordstrom. they may be expensive, but i have had them take back 6 month old shoes that had the soles separate from the rest. no questions asked. they can help you find your own style!
Reply:I know im a girl, but i think the best shoes a guy can wear is tennis shoes. Do you like plain white Jordans or Nikes, because they are comfortable and VERY stylish. I don't know.
Reply:for a dad i would say you could wear any sports brand shoes.


nike air and addidas look really good with anything. not the funky colors, but the white and black. not the really sporty ones, but the sort of casual ones.


you can wear tennis shoes with shorts, or jean pants, with your tennis outfit, collared shirts.


white reeboks are fine.
