I have about 4 pairs:-
A pair of Brogues for work
A pair of casual for jeans etc
1 pair of trainers for scruffing about
1 pair of white trainers (In the unlikely event I'll do sports)
My GF has about 40 pairs, that frequently seem to 'breed' in the cupboard.
Excuses normally go like this: -
"They were reduced from £50 to £10"
"I don't have that colour"
"I don't have that style"
Is it important to have every known colour, style, or type of Shoe . Boot that's ever been designed?
Would she get withdrawl symptoms if she went a whole month without buying shoes?
Would she be a traitor to her sex if she walked past a Shoe shop without buying something from the sale stand?
Just curious.
Are women genetically programmed to buy shoes every time they walk past a shoe shop?
OMG!
Your girlfriend only has 40 pair of shoes?
How does she survive?
You need to give her money for more!
She needs at least 10 or 12 different strappy Italian heels alone!
What about European pumps? Mules? Sandals?
5 or 6 inch stiletto snakeskin boots?
Prada?
Jimmy Choo!
Cavalli?
Manolo Blahnik!
There are 4 seasons in the year and countless occasions.
The list is endless.
Your girlfriend needs to go shopping. Now!... before it's too late! You should go with her to carry the packages.
I don't think your questions is sexist at all.
Those who are accusing you of it are too uptight and probably have issues. They might be in doubt about their femininity.
I enjoyed your comments very much. They are witty and humorous...
and TRUE!

Reply:As a woman myself I can't see how some women go as far as they do buying shoes.
Personally I hate shoe shopping, I can never find shoes that fit! Half the time when I need new shoes/boots/trainers I spend ages trying different pairs on end up with sore feet and go home with nothing. Also, the price of some shoes just put me right off. The styles that are fashion now just remind me of the eighties with all the bright colours, the furry boots that were fashion over the winter looked like something my gran would wear!
Reply:Hell yes...most women are genetical programmed to shop til they drop! lol
Reply:women are wired up different, they are positive earthed, unlike men who are negative earthed. that's the difference.
Reply:This is why people say men and women or different. Women love shopping, but men dun. Women love gossping but men dun. Therefore there are so many reason that men and women are different. and That's why women love to buy shoes but men dun. Women love wearring shoes because when day wearring a beautiful shoes she feels happy, she feels beautiful and she wearring nice shoes or high heel to show her shoes and her beautiful legs. what's more a pair of shoes need to put on with one beautiful clothe. I means one pair for one clothes , women never feel tired or withdraw to buy shoes. Women love shoes, if she find the rite shoes she one she will buy immedatly. if she doesn't have enough moeny she will find any way to buy that shoes till she get it.
Reply:Not all women are like that. Not until recently did I start buying at least one pair of shoes a month. I mainly buy sneakers ( or trainers as you call them) and buy them because I would like a pair that could go with any shirt I wear. Now I don't have that many, but I'll admit that it really is quite ridiculous. I just can't resist a pair of sneakers or really cool looking shoes.
Reply:lol, yeah, i guess so. well, at least lotsa women are like that. i don't understand it either. i mean, they're cute, but i'm not gonna spend a million dollars on buying every pair in the store... but hey, whatever makes her happy. poor you, lol
Reply:mmmm?? i dunno ???
im kind of a kinky boots man
i like women in shoes ...boots....... leather ...........pvc ...................................yeeee... haaaaaa !!
Reply:if it is in our genetics somewhere, i must have missed that gene.
yes, shoes are important to us, they can make or break an outfit. but not all of us HAVE to have them
shopping in general has been proven to have the same chemical effect on the brain as acid does, so its not like we can avoid it.
some of us have other addictions. i for example cant resist a cute dress. but i hate shoe shopping, so i dont have many pairs
Reply:It's kind of like men with tools, yes it is built into our genetics. I only have about 6 pairs of shoes, so I'm not a shoe freak like some women. Cut her some slack you sexist pig. I'm sure there's something that you're obsessed with, if you just think about it.
Reply:HAHAHAHAA!!!!!!!!!!
DUDE I LAUGHED SO FRIKEN HARD WHEN I READ THIS!!!!!!!!!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
and, yes. thats the way we are.
tell ur girlfriend i said hi.
=]
Reply:Personally, I don't like shoes. You'd never spot me in spike heals or little flip flops. I think for some women it's a way of showing their feminine side, for others it's an excuse to spend money, and for women like me it's a pain in the butt; a hassle. I never did get the shoe thing.
Reply:no
probably not
and no
Reply:Well, no. Not engineered that way, but just happened to be that way?
I have like only 7 pairs of shoes.
Reply:No. I don't buy shoes every time I pass a store...and I don't make excuses like that either, or go through "withdrawal"
Reply:Yes they are.
My wife can go through twenty pairs of shoes a year - wearing most of them only a couple of times before declaring "Oh, these hurt my feet, I must get some new shoes" or when I say "You've got some like that", she'll reply "I know, but not quite the same colour"
They are also preprogrammed to be unable to avoid cushions, rugs, scarves, ornaments, throws, curtains and bunches of twigs wrapped in a bow.
Reply:No.
It depends on the woman.
If she had the cash to dish out on shoes, then there's no reason why she wouldn't buy them.
But some of us aren't that rich, you know...
Reply:Pretty much.
Like, I can't walk by Abercrombie without buying something.
I'll like, die. ♥
Reply:I'm female but I have a defective shopping gene and *especially* don't like shopping for shoes. I've been barefoot full-time for over ten years, and I guess I'm a bit of a hippie in that I don't like consumerism too... I don't go shopping unless I really, really need something, and if I can I'll buy it at a thrift store. It's not that I can't afford it but buying second-hand is better for the environment, plus I often like old-fashioned styles in many things... The only stores where I love to shop are book stores, artsy places (especially the ethnic kind, selling all kinds of handmade third world stuff), special markets like the yearly Fantasy Fair, and indeed thrift stores.
Reply:Maybe it's like guys and tools or fishing tackle?
Who knows?
You ask a valid question.
Reply:i only buy ones i like, and i only have about 36 or so pairs. mainly sneakers, like vans or converse or kswiss, some for church and skirts. thats it. i rarely buy shoes
Reply:SEXIST WHORE
peace
also go c dr.phil
Reply:some people love to have different shoes as accessories...i have over 30 pairs of sandals and and pumps so i can mix and match them with my outfits....when i see a cute par of shoes i will buy them...its perfectly normal
Reply:shoes to women
are like
porn to men
the similarities:
1. shoes/porn dont complain
2. you can always buy new ones
3. you can use them everyday
4. dont have to share
5. they both cost money
6. when your done you throw them in the closet
see. so if we cant buy shoes - you cant buy porn.
simple.
Reply:not every woman can be tarred with the same brush- that's like us women saying "can a man walk past a bar without having to go in and get drunk?" but my honest answer is that i own a LOT of shoes and boots (each pair goes with an outfit) i like to co-ordinate perfectly and that means matching shoes with bag and dress etc...
Reply:haha!
that made me laugh.
more than once =D
but still kinda sexist.
Reply:of course we are. you can never ever have too many shoes =]
Reply:What kind of gf you have? Luckily not all women are like that. I think you should talk with your gf about it and try to come up with something because besides being a waste of money, her ego is also increasing, she is giving more importance to the physical appearance and the "likes" instead of taking care what is inside. I just feel sorry for you...good luck...(^_^)...byeee
Reply:We don't buy shoes every time when walk past a shoe shop but surely will have a look at least.
It is necessary to have different color %26amp; style shoes for mix %26amp; match with clothes, so I think it is reasonable and normal to have about 10~20 pairs at home. More than 20 seems to be a wastage (I'm sure I'll get many thumb down from ladies).
