What are the best shoes to wear walking around London?

should I buy sneakers or loafers? I figure I will need something with good support and cushion, nothing too flat. although I would like to still look at least a bit fashionable even if I am being pretty casual. I have the night to wear my strappies... :) So what shoes do you suggest or type of shoe? (Mind you-I am super tight on the budget!)

Just wear whatever shoes are the most comfortable. If you're walking round a city for a long time, the only real factor to consider is whether they'll rub or give you blisters or support your feet or whatever. Fashion really doesn't need to be a consideration - there are so many people in London that no-one will bat an eyelid. And if they do, they'll be gone in a second and you'll never see them again!
Reply:No one really wears sneakers in London except teenage boys and tourists (a slight exaggeration :-)), so I would say find something somewhat fashionable but comfortable. I love Rocketdog shoes, but they can be a bit expensive. A simple black or brown loafer would be good and you wouldn't stand out too much.
Reply:London is a city of almost 10 million people and all of them wear different shoes. Wear whatever suits you best, fashion and pocket-wise - nobody will notice and nobody will care if they do.
