Business casual attire for a teenager?

I am attending a leadership seminar for the Zonta club, and the invite said " Appropriate attire is requested- business casual preferred."


What would this be for a teenager? Include shoes too please, cause i probably need to go get some. If you include links, no online stores and nothing too pricey

Business casual attire for a teenager?
Business casual--nice blazer (try LL Bean or a department store, perhaps an H%26amp;M or similar store), button up shirt or polo, khaki or dress pants. A sweater could be worn with the polo. A nice skirt that is appropriate length (i.e. knee-length or slightly longer) is also business casual. Chose a dressy material.


Shoes--low pumps (maybe 1.5 inches maximum), leather boots, leather shoes. Mules/clogs are not appropriate, and neither are flipflops!

If you wear a nice sleevless top you can always throw a cardigan on to make it look cute, you will probably end up in a cold room at your seminar so take a sweater. I like this one: http://www.forever21.com/product.asp?cat...





Basically though pick very basic colors, you REALLY can not go wrong with black and white. If you want shoes... pick a sling back or something with a back with a kitten heel (http://www.payless.com/Catalog/ProductDe... or ballet flats. Just in case you have to walk a lot.





Hope this helps. Basically they want you to dress up but dont go as far as a suit. Make sure your hair is nice, wear nice stud earrings (nothing too showy). Good luck.
Reply:pants that are not jeans, camis or cargo. something like a pair of black dickies or nice slacks in grey or black. a button down blouse and appropriate shoes could be cute or comfy but matching pants and low heel.
