I am starting a new job on January 7th for an Investment company in the position of Financial Representative. I will be on the phone in my cubicle all day with no face to face contact with actual investors, just co-workers. My thought of business casual was a pullover polo shirt with khaki's and decent shoes. I have since gotten a reaction as if that would be too casual. Please give me suggestions.
What is business casual?
Yeah slacks and a polo and nice shoes. Bring a sports jacket on the cool days and you'll look nice and cute. If you dress for success thats what you'll get.
And i would spring for dry cleaning. If you look around you will find a fair based price.
Reply:No pullover shirts. Button-up collared shirts are what would be expected. Khaki's or Dockers are fine. No tennis shoes, running shoes, or hiking shoes.
Reply:I would say probably say button down shirt, slacks and nice shoes. Maybe a tie, but no jacket.
Reply:That is "business casual." You could try a shirt and ty and khakis though i think that is above casual.

Reply:I think its a collared, button up shirt with a tie tucked into some slacks. Thats what I think business casual is. Maybe minus the tie
