My husband and i were invited on a company picnic that requires a business casual dress code. I was told by someone who attended the same gathering last year that we could wear sneakers and jeans. But i looked up the appropriate clothing for business casual and khakis and leather shoes are appropriate. We would rather wear something comfortable like jeans and sneakers because the party will be held outside in the afternoon but we do not want to feel out of place. Please help us...
Company party in business casual?
I would go with dark jeans, they look less casual than lighter ones and tennis shoes (no dirt!) or sandals. For your husband I would say khakis and a casual button down or polo shirt. I can't see why you would be expected to dress up any more than that for a picnic,even if it is a company event. Good luck and have fun!
