Should I wear brown or black shoes with this outfit? (please read on)?

It's a light blue short-sleveed argile sweater with a some black in it, and a black shirt underneath (it sticks out the bottom a little)-- with a pair of light-colored (casual) khaki pants.





Should I wear brown or black shoes?





I have heard that you wear brown shoes with khakis, but what if you have black elsewear in your outfit?

you can wear black w/ khakis, and since your sweater has some black in it, wear black shoes

Reply:You can wear either and it will work - the brown will match the khakis and the black will match the black in the sweater. Best of both worlds! :)
Reply:You know, people say that black and brown dont mix, and don't even try it.- thats bogus. Obviously if you have mainly black or mainly brown youre going to wear what you have the most of...





BUT you can wear either with this outfit, and the way to determine how is to see what accessories you will be wearing with it. If you are going for a darker look (alot of makeup up-darker, a darker or black purse, darker earrings ect) then you can wear the black shoes.





If you have a lighter or tan purse, going for a more natural makeup look and have lighter accessories, then go for the brown.





Its really what else you are pairing it with for this outfit...
Reply:What I do sometimes is wear the brown shoes, only if I have an accessory like a brown purse or a brown necklace when I'm wearing a diff colored top. For example I wore a light blue sweater yesterday with tan slacks, and wore brown heels with a brown necklace and brown purse(clutch)

Reply:BLACK lol Im not a picky person but a petpeeve of mine is seeing someone with black and brown clashing. khaki is more in the light tan/white category. It would look nice and pull your oufit together much better! :}
Reply:Either could work, but I think black shoes are a bit better with black and blue in the top portion of your ensemble.
