Help with smart casual attire?

i was invited for a debut birthday and was asked to wear a smart casual attire..





i honestly don't know what a smart casual should look like.. but here's what i thought i should wear





white long sleeves polo (sleeves are folded up to elbows)


blue jeans


brown leather shoes





the top looks like this, except for the tie and the sleeves should be folded up to the elbows

Reply:Smart Casual... vintage blazers really go a long way. You can by a wool, cotton or tweed blazer relatively inexpensively at a thrift store or GoodWill. I know its warming up but maybe a sweater to match the tie over the shoulders or with the sleeves tied in front is a nice collegiate look. maybe even a vest.
