I need shoes advice (MENS)?

Before you read on, please note that I AM A MAN, do not use womens views on this topic.

Formal Wear: I dont have any good ones right now. I have a pair of black ones, but they suck. First of all, i dont have much money so i need something now. If I were to have one pair of shoes to go with a black suit that can be worn dressy, what would your recommend? I was thinking black leather lace up? How about brown shoes? But I only have a black suit...

Casual Wear: I want to get a white/green pair of Lacoste Carnabys. And as for another pair, should I look into the john varvatos converse slipons? Or something else? Should I just stay away from sneakers, casually??? How about a pair of brown or black loafers? Moccasins? Something(s) that can go with jeans, and/or khakis?

You will always need a black pair for formal. Brown shoes doesn't look to good with a black suit.

Casual wear =%26gt; anything goes theses days as long as they don't stand out too much and are comfortable. Remember comfort is important.

My advice it you should take some advice from the ladies too. They shop more, so they know where to find bargains (my wife always seem to know when a sale is on) and they know what looks good on a man.

Reply:Tennis shoes go with jeans...get you a pair.
Reply:for dress wear get a pair of black lace ups is probably your best bet, if you don't have a lot of money to spend, try aldo shoes, they don't have the best reputation for quality, but they are cheap and stylish. What ever you don't wear brown shoes with a black suit, it's a big fashion no no. I personally find brown shoes very hard to pull off without looking old-man-ish, though they are coming back in style. And don't get one of those really big clunky pairs of dress shoes, they are uguly, and don't have the necessary refinement for dress wear.

As for casual wear, I wouldn't get two pairs of the same shoes, since judging by your question you will be in casual wear most of the time, variety is the key here, a pair of fabric slip ons like these http://www.aldoshoes.com/eng/storeSectio...

would be nice, the converse aren't a bad choice, but maybe not the chuck taylors. a pair of black driving moccasins or casual loafers would look good too, of course the season, and where you live would have some baring on what you chose too, and of cordinate the shoes with the rest of your wardrobe, for example, if it's summer, or you live in a warm climate try a pair of white leather slip ons, and of course sandals would be an essential too, or in the wintertime, or a cold climate maybe try ankle boots, or snow boots, likewise coordinate our shoes with your wardrobe, for example black shoes pair well with dark denim.
Reply:Buy the best pair of black lace ups you can afford. They'll last longer and black goes with everything. Brown doesn't. As for casual for comfort, I'd go with Clark's falcons or Doc Martins. There aren't cheap but they'll hold up for a long time if you take care of them. They go for 80 to 100 each.
Reply:The problem with men Is that they lack colour coordination and always find a way of getting into drab looking suits, shirts and ties and that brown shoe, brown shoes with a black suit? forget It!

We man are just lacking the guts to get out there and get a teal suit and set It off with a red or purple shirt and black shoes that are pointed rather than snub nosed. Use your Imagination and you will be surprised to find that women will be making some pretty smooth comments. Dare to be different? Top IT off with a black or steel grey Fedora. You will be hearing the word sexy more than you have ever heard it before.

Most Importantly you can look really great on a budget.

Tan shoes and pants lace up or slip on, offset the casual look with a cool shirt light or dark blues.

Forget about what Is supposedly In fashion and be prepared to make a statement about you. That you are not the run of the mill guy locked In on name brand clothing be a trend setter and get used to the compliments from women!

Me? discovered that the women that you will attract will be the ones that never bothered to say hello!
