What color shoes should I wear with a chocolate brown bridesmaid dress?

It's a casual wedding, and I got to pick my dress, and shoes. I think black will look wierd and am leaning toward red.

What color shoes should I wear with a chocolate brown bridesmaid dress?
Black would definitely clash with brown. I would go with either something lighter like a beige/tan shoe. Pink goes great with Brown, so does aqya, but not sure about those colors in a shoe. Red might go depending on the color of red it is. What are the other bridesmaids wearing for colors?
Reply:med to hot pink, maybe a cream or the clear kind.
Reply:without seeing the dress, I personally think black would work. What material is the dress, what month is the wedding?
Reply:Ya i think red will be good or like a dark purpilish
Reply:You can't go wrong with a neutral shoe - camel or tan.

I was in a wedding wearing a flowy sage green dress and all the bridesmaids bought the same neutral strappy slides - they were expensive and I was p.o.'d when I bought them. Now they are my absolute favorite shoes, and I'd buy ten more pairs if I could ever find them again.

Red would look cool too, but if other bridesmaids aren't wearing the red it may look out of place.

Good Luck!
Reply:I was thinking red because it gives you splash of color to not make you look boring.
Reply:Definately go with a neutral, something close to skin color is best. You will get TONS of use out of them later and a neutral is always the best way to get a longer, leggier look. That will be great later when you use them with your regular length dresses and such.
Reply:red would be a very nice color. Maybe try a pink or a purple. Good Luck
Reply:badge, maybe white..
Reply:Go with a nice shade of pink. You don't want people staring at your feet, so avoid bright, loud shades.
Reply:try, off-white just to have contrast to the dark brown color
Reply:If you can wear open-toed or sandal-type, white or silver (even a gold sandal) would work and wear silver (or gold) jewelry. If they have to be close-toed, ask what the other bridesmaids are wearing, you don't all want to clash. But a light (crema or beige) or pink would work. A turquoise color, baby blue even, always looks nice with that deep brown, too. And to offset the brown of the dress and the shoes not being easy to match, make your accessories compliment each other.
Reply:You could have your shoes dyed to match the gown
Reply:FORSTLY EWWWWW! chocolate brown braidsmaids dress. how... EW! i would think pink/brown go well together
Reply:Red's ok. It depends on your accessories, though. You could also go with tan leather or espadrilles.
Reply:navy or match the brown- red is too showy for the bridesmaid to wear- it could upstage the bride.
Reply:Definitely NOT red! Go with a clear shoe.
Reply:I think maybe a pink or purple would be nice.
Reply:For a bridesmaid dress you should always match the dress exactly. And black never goes with brown. Any other color shoe but an exact match would look silly. Bridal shoppes have shoe dying capabilities and a wide selection of shoes.
Reply:Light pink, cool blue, and beige would coordinate well.
