What type of shoes to wear in the colder states??

ok im not up to date on the fasions in snow country USA. im used to the warmer southern states but alas.. im here. and i dont know style. would these shoes go with a nice sweater? and also, wouldnt you just slip and fall wearing high heel boots on the ice and snow? and no heeled boots are just not very fashion friendly... someone help?! the slippers, you know the ones that are the albino African endangered rhino
Reply:boots with no heels. If you wear heels you run the risk of slipping and breaking a leg.
Reply:Snow boots (nike and timberland) are very warm for the winter, they have fur on the inside and they are very stable to walk on ice with in the winter plus they are very fashionable
Reply:boots boots boots
Reply:You would fall in heels on ice and would get your foot all wet with heels in the snow. Just stick with fairly waterproof sneakers and boots.
Reply:Uggs, even though they are a tad expensive, if you take good care of them they will last you a long while.
Reply:i live in pennsylvania and we already have like 6" of snow.

i wear uggs...i know most people hate them but they are great for keeping your feet warm and dry when trudging through snow to class. and i actually kind of like them.

if it's not real icy sometimes i wear heeled boots because they are more fashion friendly, but my feet freeze in them.

i'd rather wear something pratical than kill myself trying to be what society calls stylish.
Reply:i totally recommend uggs they are fashionable for any age and really warm here is their site
