Shoes for Work?

I got a job as a front desk receptionist for a small architectural office. This is my first office job (usually been a waitress), and I know that I have to wear business casual at work. The question I have is, what are the best kind of shoes for business casual?

Shoes for Work?
any heels will work (i'm a receptionist as well)
Reply:Absolutely wear heels...
Reply:depends on if you like heels or not, personally i love them but they hurt the heck out of my feet (plus i injured my achiles tendon) I wear naturalizers, they have stylish ones with heels too but they are more like platforms as the heel is 3 inches but it doesn't feel like it because it goes from toe to heel! close toed is professional.
Reply:thick block heel pump with a rounded or square toe
Reply:PLEASE! No tennis shoes or flip flops ! And 4 inch heels are uncomfortable and too much for the work place (I don't care where it is you work...there's a time and place for really, really tall heels)

Find a nice pair of classy flats (like the ballerina style so popular today) or something along those lines. A low heel pump is also considered appropriate in the office. Most definitely the way to go. Being a receptionist, you're gonna be really busy and your shoes are the last things you need to be concerned with. You want to be comfortable. The main thing is comfort, then style...If you do decide to wear pumps in the office, then keep a pair of comfy shoes in your desk for the commute to and from work. Good luck!
Reply:for work, especially if you're running around a lot, i suggest you go for pumps with a kitten heel or something slightly taller. i agree with another user that it shouldn't be more than 3 inches tall. your feet'll be hurting at the end of the day!

i actually found some cute kitten heel pumps at payless for cheap that would be great for work. you can also check out bronx shoes at zappos.com - their pumps are extremely comfortable as well as stylish.

but yes...definitely go with some pumps. a girl can never have too many heels! =)
Reply:Being that I work somewhere that the dress code is Business Casual, I say shoes with a little heel, not more than 3 inches. Chances are if youre the receptionist, you arent going to be doing too much walking around but in case you need to file, make copies or stand for long periods, you want shoes you will be comfortable in.
Reply:If you don't want to wear heels all day. Buy, flats from naturalizer. They also have heels as well. But, their flats are very stylish and very comfortable!!
Reply:A nice pair of heels will do. I would look in Roos, TJ Maxx, or Marshalls to get name brand shoes for less. Those stores normally carry Nine West and I absolutely love their heels. They're stylish and comfortable. You may also look for a Nine West outlet near your home.

Target and Payless also carry cute heels.

Good luck with your new job.
