What shoes to wear with a black dickies dress?

it's button-up, black, quite casual, and hits about an inch and a half to two inches above my knee. i have no idea what shoes to wear...keep in mind that i'm quite short (4'11", and no, i promise, i'm a bit too old to have any more growth spurts), so i don't want to wear any short of shoes that will make me look stumpy. i guess i'm a bit of a tomboy and don't know how to dress myself.

What shoes to wear with a black dickies dress?
you should wear some canvas flats. thats a casual style dress that calls for casual style shoes. it will totally fit your tomboy sytle. you dont want to wear anything you arent comfortable in or that makes it look like you are trying to hard. even some chucks would go.

just dont wear heels. it wont look right b/c the dress is casual and heels are too dressy for it. good luck :)

Reply:wear either little heels (by little i mean like not too big like over the top) or if you feel uncomfortable wear some flats
Reply:The Dickies normally have a red "brand tag" on their clothes, so you should go with red pumps, Guess has some really cute ones
Reply:If you're shorter and trying to elongate your body by wearing heels, stay away from wedges. Wedges tend to make the legs look thicker and wedges dont give that lean and long "look."





I'd opt for some slip-on strappy black heels. Nothing dressy or patent leather. Try something with leather straps. Just my opinion :o)
